The centrifuge is generally used to separate the different components of the sample. The principle is a special instrument that uses centrifugal force to separate and precipitate the mixed solution. The centrifuge can quickly precipitate the suspended particles in the mixed solution, thereby separating various substances with different densities. Centrifuges are divided according to speed, and centrifuges can be divided into low-speed centrifuges and high-speed centrifuges.
Decanter Centrifuges
1.Before use, check whether the buttons of each family of the centrifuge are in the specified position, that is, the power is in the off position, and the speed button is in the zero position.
2. Before centrifugation, transfer the material to be centrifuged into a Centrifuge tube of appropriate size. The amount should not be too large to avoid overflow. Hereby put the centrifuge tube into the outer tube, and add buffer water between the centrifuge tube and the outer tube.
3. Put the above-mentioned centrifuge tube containing the liquid, together with the casing tube, on a platform balance. If it is not balanced, adjust the amount of liquid and buffer water in the centrifuge tube to achieve a balance. The centrifugal tubes facing each other in the centrifuge must be balanced, otherwise it will damage the centrifuge components and even cause serious accidents.
4. Put the balanced centrifuge tube in the centrifuge symmetrically, and close the centrifuge cover tightly.
5. When starting the centrifuge, first turn on the power switch, and then slowly turn the speed knob to gradually increase the speed. Until it reaches the required speed, adjust the timing knob at the same time to set the centrifugal time.
6. When the centrifugation time is reached, turn off the start switch, then adjust the speed knob to reduce the speed, and finally turn the knob to "0". After the centrifuge automatically stops, open the centrifuge cover and take out the sample.
7. After use, wash the rubber pad in the sleeve, rinse the outer sleeve and centrifuge tube, and place it upside down to dry.
